1946 ERNIE BUTLER from Warsaw demolished a two story frame house near the site of the present day Firehall Restaurant, lot 7 concession 5 of Burliegh township, and from the material erected a small general store with living quarters - the nucleus of the Woodview Store.
1947 RICHARD AND GLADYS TRANTOR purchased the store and opened the Woodview Post Office. In the latter 1950's built a house on the property and former living quaters became part of the store, and enlarged post office facilities.
1967 EARL AND MABEL STARK bought the property including the post office. Mabel is Richard Tranter's sister.
1971 BILL AND AUDREY MCDERMOTT took over the establishment upon Stark's retirement.
1974 CASE AND BETH WEIBOROUGH became the new owners.
1976 MALCOLM AND MARION WEBB bought the business.
1979 ONDRE AND IRENE GREGOROVIC bought the business.
1985 SEAN AND GWEN PENNYLEGION became the new owners. During their tenure, the stained glass window of the post office portion was installed by Larry Glover, then owner of Cedarwood. As well, the Pennylegions spent countless hours and dollars bringing the buildings back up to todays standards.
2000 GAVIN AND KATHY McKNIGHT moved to the area when the Pennylegions moved on to Haliburton.
2002 KELL AND KATE SEWELL took up residence, moving from Inuvik, but formerly from Ontario.
